GENERAL - Check List


Below I have made a check list for you to keep in mind as your module is nearing the end.

Check List; ensure you have -

-         Commented on at least 3 blogs per post - your critical feedback shown within your commenting is marked - please take responsibility and take action if you notice you haven't received any comments on any of your posts.

-         REPLIED to ALL comments on your blogs – replies are equally as important. They are marked as part of your post and also count towards your final grade - replying gives you a chance to add in any information, reply to critical feedback as well as add visualisations to help reader understand your writing.

-        Bibliography - this is clear and presented in the correct format 

-        Citation - ensure you have evidence at least 2 in-text citations per post 

      DOUBLE CHECK your work - including Spelling and Grammar as well as Videos, Photos and Links 

-       Good use of VISUAL TOOLS  within each post - Including Videos and Images - This is important as you are not only marked on your use of these but it will enable the reader further understand your writing.

-        Layout of work is correct – additionally the format you have used for your blog is clear for the reader to understand your work 
      
      Most Importantly you have ANSWERED ALL QUESTIONS (this includes posting videos of creative work where asked e.g. creative sessions)

FIRST YEAR - Creative Session 3 AND Critical Review of Dance Piece #2


WEEK 9 - CREATIVE SESSION 3 - Now that your work is nearing completion, discuss in your post how you feel the process is going. Evaluate your starting objectives and discuss if these have been achieved, did they need to change? If so why? Discuss what has gone well and what challenges have you faced to date? Have these challenges had an impact on your work? (Vlog 2-3 mins)
Remember it is important that you are confident and engage with your audience during your vlogs!

WEEK 9 – Critical review of DANCE PIECE #2 - Discuss, critique and review Dance Piece #2 by your chosen choreographer, the same as you have previously done for Dance Piece #1. Additionally think about; can you see any differences in movement style, dynamics and intentions between this piece and the piece featured in Dance #1 blog. Can you evaluate the point of view of your choreographer in this work and discuss the impact that the work has made on the audience and/or achieved in the industry. Can you discuss any difference between the process of Dance Piece 1 and 2 and differences/ similarities between the movement vocabulary?
Please use the correct technical terms within your writing. (500-600 words)

Please note: Next week I will be asking to see the final product of your piece. Please come prepared to perform, with your solos complete, on Wednesday 20th November.

SECOND YEARS - Creative Session 5


Week 9 – CREATIVE DEVELOPMENT – SESSION 5 - Now that your work is nearing completion, discuss in your post how you feel the process is going. Evaluate your starting objectives and discuss if these have been achieved, did they need to change? If so why? Discuss what has gone well and what challenges have you faced to date? Have these challenges had an impact on your work? How is your group working as a team, further discuss team strategies you have used to ensure you produce the best possible outcome? (e.g. extra rehearsals?) (Vlog 2-3 mins)
Remember it is important to show confidence and engage with your audience during your vlogs!

Please note: Next week I will be asking to see the final product of your piece. Please come prepared to perform, with your group devised piece complete, on Monday 18th November.

Discuss in depth your creative movement development/ choreography in relation to your stimulus AND your theories, choreographic devices and processes. How have you integrated your research (stimulus research AND research for your practitioner) as well as choreographic devices and how has this influenced the movement phrases you have built/ creative ideas and processes (please illustrate your writing using photos and/or videos). Has your research evolved during this process and if so, how has it impacted your process? Develop a passage of movement that is appropriate for your solo choreography, in the style of your practitioner (being influenced by their creative process AND their stylisation of movement vocabulary). What movement has this helped you produce? What are some of the creative differences between this process and the process you used to start your choreography (mentioned in your reflection of creative session 1).  (500 words)
